Dear Richard:

I frequently get asked for information about Rolls Razors. I started my company back in 1980 (no connection with the original except for the obvious connection of Rolls Razors) as a means of restoring the Rolls Razor to production and servicing the needs of its users. I was asked by the British Trade Development organization in New York City if I wanted to talk with the widow of Rolls Associates and possibly acquire the business. The widow of George Van Dyk met with me and showed me the inventory left by her husband when he died. George Van Dyk was a member of the senior management team of Rolls Razor Inc., the New York based subsidiary of the London-based parent company before it went bankrupt in 1963. George had continued to service the needs of Rolls Razors owners and users until he passed away. The inventory was quite inclusive and included razors, brushes, shaving bowls, blades, handles, strops, hones, and all the parts needed to repair the razors. Also included were records of the original Rolls Razors and their owners and the rights to service and sell to the public new and rebuilt razors. I bought the inventory and the business.

I then proceeded to authorize Caswell Massey Pharmacies to sell Rolls Razors to the public. I also authorized the Pharmacy at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City and the Pharmacy in Newport, Rhode Island to sell the Rolls Razor. I proceeded to sell and service the Rolls Razor new owners and existing owners of the razor. I continue to do so even to this day.

I hope you will find this message helpful, and will publish it in your website along with my name and how to get in touch with me. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Francis X. Donofrio
President
